In 2015, Ofsted judged Featherstone High to be an ‘Outstanding’ school.
Featherstone High School is a mixed and multi-cultural comprehensive school for pupils between the ages of 11 and 19 situated in the London Borough of Ealing specialising in the Sciences and Sport. The school gained Academy status in December 2011.
Featherstone is a friendly school that values teamwork and high achievement in all areas of our work with young people. We offer all teachers excellent support and place a very strong emphasis on continued professional development. The school has the Investors in People accreditation. As such we offer in-service training of the highest quality. The school can also boast superb Sports and ICT facilities as well as a £ 10 million Sixth Form building.
Her Majesty’s Inspector (HMI) I stated “The students are friendly, welcoming and open, their behaviour is impressive and their excellent attendance shows how much they enjoy school. Relationships between students and staff are warm and supportive. The school is very much part of the local community.”
Full time and permanent vacancies at the school are always externally advertised.
Featherstone High School is committed to Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of Children and Young People and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
References will need to be seen before any offer of employment is made. All successful applicants will need to complete an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure & Barring Service (Previously the Criminal Records Bureau) check and adhere to the school’s Safeguarding Children policy.
