On Tuesday 21st May, our Headteacher, Mr Wadwa was invited to Downing Street for a reception to celebrate the talent and commitment of 100 selected teachers to giving every child an excellent education.
The event was hosted by the Prime Minister and Secretary of State for Education, both of whom paid tribute to the hard work and dedication of the profession.
Prime Minister Theresa May said: “We know that the success of every young person, in whatever they go on to do in life, is shaped by the education they receive at school. That’s why I was delighted to welcome over a hundred teachers from across the country to Downing Street to celebrate their achievements and to thank them for the vital work they do day-in and day-out.”
Headteacher, Mr Wadwa said: “It was both humbling and inspiring to spend a little time in what has been the residence of Prime Ministers on and off since the early 18th century. To be invited to a Reception of this nature is a great tribute to all the incredibly hard working members of our school community.”
